Mission Statement
“Photographer for Charity” (“the Organization”) started from a series of charity events in the wake of the Earthquake ravaged South Western China in the summer of 2008. The Organization is a non-profit organization registered in California and serves as a platform to facilitate the interactions between photographers, donors and organizations/agencies hosting charity events. The Organization is recruiting photographers with social conscience and selecting appropriate art works for charity purpose. The Organization will collaborate with credited non-profits and agencies to do online/offline auctions of photographic works and services, supporting the fund-raising efforts of different charity events.
We would encourage photographers who agree to our cause to join us to promote the good for all humanity. All you need to do is
- Send us a CV of yourself. This is for marketing purpose.
- Donate 4 of your works. Please send electronic files to the organization (info@photographersforcharity.org), note the name, dimension and description of the works.
- Fill out the application form.
Once the application is approved, the Organization will market your works and send them to different charity events. You will be notified if your work is auctioned or accepted at these events. You can then sign your work and send it to the donor or the organizer of the charity event. The Organization will send you an electronic certificate along with the possible recognition letter from the charity event. Donors will write a check directly to the credited non-profits and agencies selected by the Organization, for example, American Red Cross. The Organization will not accept the donations directly. We will not charge fees of any kind in these events.
We hope that we can draw the public attention towards the aid to the suffering of humanity through our efforts.
